•Always install ALADIN first before connecting a diagnostics interface to the USB port or the serial interface of your PC.
When you install ALADIN 6, any older installation from the Version 6 series is automatically updated. Installations from the Version 3 series are not altered. ALADIN Versions 6 and 3 can be installed in parallel on one PC.
Installations from the CD are started by double clicking "setup.exe".
If you have loaded ALADIN from the Voith.com site, you must first decompress the *.zip file. In Windows 7 and higher, you can decompress any Zip file by right-clicking with the mouse.
There is an ISO image in the Zip archive. You can either burn an ISO image onto a CD or open it directly in a simulated CD drive. In Windows 8 and higher, you can "provide" an ISO image directly by right-clicking with the mouse. In Windows 7, you need an additional tool such as WinRar or CDEmu.
If you have burned or provided the CD, you can start the installation via "setup.exe".
All required third party products and drivers are automatically installed during the installation. The only exception is the driver for the Samtec HS Light interface.

The drivers for SmartCase are not signed and will generate the following warning. Please confirm the warning with "Install this driver software anyway".
After the driver installation, the actual installation of ALADIN starts
You can de-install ALADIN 6 using the Windows control panel. The drivers (Voith Road drivers) and the communication layer (Voith Interface Manager) are preserved. For a complete de-installation, you must also de-install the two programs.
While using ALADIN 6, a VoithDiagnosticTools folder has been created in the "Bibliotheken\Dokumente\VoithDiagnosticTools" area. For example, your ECU files are in this folder. This folder is not deleted by the de-installation either. You can delete the folder manually if necessary.
